Pare Paddlers

kayaking Paremoremo is surrounded by water.  There are many residents who enjoy a paddle or sail on the water.  There is limited access for kayaks at the Attwood Rd wharf.  Some locals are lucky enough to have their own access however for the majority of people the best access is from Sanders Reserve.

Sanders Reserve is surrounded by water and there is a little bay that has been used many times by locals to launch kayaks from.  It is arguably the most popular part of Sanders Reserve and is known by the locals as ‘Library Point’.  For groups of kayakers, the best way to get access from this point is by carrying their kayaks by way of trolley to the water as there is currently no vehicular access.

A group of enthusiastic local people who are keen for a paddle are about to launch their kayaks in March 2012.
