The Pare Publisher is a local community newsletter that is delivered monthly throughout the Paremoremo and surrounding areas. The newsletter has become the “Voice” of the Paremoremo community, by publishing events, informative articles, how to’s, and providing a place for local people to advertise their businesses.
The first newsletter was compiled by Barb Cooper and was delivered in April 2007. It was printed on a double sided A4 sheet of paper and hand delivered by Barb on her bike. In January 2009, Barb’s daughter Anita Dobson took over the design and production of the newsletter. Anita grew the size of the publication and the size of the distribution area employing local people to distribute the newsletters. In October of that year Anita created the Pare Publisher website, followed not long after by the facebook page.
The Pare Publisher is delivered monthly and is supported by this website, Kim Ward’s regular email news updates, and facebook pages.
